Our Home Delivery Service is available for anyone in the post code areas of Bristol (BS) & we will be expanding our service to incorporate mail order in the very near future. Our range of exceptional quality meats are available at an everyday value to our customers and we look forward to receiving your orders. Currently we have a range of beef, pork, lamb, poultry, sausages, burgers and oven ready meals available to order along with fresh produce, cheese, eggs & store cupboard essentials such as pasta. Orders can be placed via the “Shopping On-line” section within this website. DELIVERY SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE WEEKLY WITH STANDARD DELIVERY DAYS CURRENTLY BEING:
You will be allocated the next available delivery day automatically at the point of checkout. Alternatively you can specify a later delivery date if you wish when you check out. Orders will usually be delivered between 10am and 6pm. We would appreciate it if someone could be available at your property between these times to receive the order, but be assured if we miss you, we will re-visit the property to ensure that you get your delivery. Alternatively any special delivery instruction or notes should be added in the comments box i.e. if you want to leave specific delivery instructions for your convenience (or if you are self-isolating). All that we ask is that your order is collected swiftly after delivery as it contains fresh produce that requires immediate re-frigeration.

Our Catering Enterprise
Buxtons Butchers consists of a state of the art catering butchery site serving The South West, a traditional retail butchers shop nestled in the heart of Bristol and an expanding home delivery and on-line sales service. Founder Nigel Buxton is the consummate butcher with over 40 years experience. He can trace the butcher profession through his family tree to 1890. The business has quality and service at the heart of everything that it creates and Nigel’s team of masterful butchers are on hand to support your individual and business requirements.
Buxtons is a very carbon conscious company and understand that our customers are too. So we like to shout about our produce being locally sourced wherever possible, working with local farm producer’s all year around to source and supply livestock to our business, as well as working with other loyal and specialist businesses in the supply chain.
Our specialist catering butchery unit supplies the finest quality award winning meat to some of the finest restaurants and hotels in Bristol and The South West. The site has a unique Himalayan Salt Ageing Chamber which ensures that our dry age steaks truly are a cut above the rest. In this chamber we dry age our primal cuts of beef for a minimum of 28 days before hand selecting them for butchery. Our steaks have a distinctive rich colour, tenderness and incredible depth of flavour, they simply taste outstanding! But don’t just take our word for it, the judges also agree our; delicious beef rib-eye steaks were awarded “Champion” status in 2019 Taste of The West Awards meat and poultry category.
As an experienced catering butchery we understand the demands on modern day kitchens and work incredibly hard to ensure you have the best produce delivered on time, every time.. Buxton Butchers can dispatch next day (and sometimes same day!) to your kitchen. Our delivery runs start from 5am so you can be sure to have the key ingredient in time for service.

Our Winterbourne Shop
Our family shop can be found in the heart of the community in the village of Winterbourne, North East Bristol. Here we celebrate all that is great about the traditional butchers shop, providing the very best of customer service and first class quality meats, including our award winning dry aged meats & pies along with cooked meats, other pastry products and cheeses from Lye Cross Farm. Our shelves are replenished daily with freshly baked bread from the Cottage Bakery, local eggs, fruit and vegetables. We take pride in all that we do and value greatly the community that we serve. We were delighted to have been awarded a GOLD award in the Butchers Shop category in the 2019 Taste of the West Hospitality & Retail Awards, in recognition for our work. Our premises hold a 5 Star Hygiene Rating.
